St. john’s town center

About a mile from the hotel, a gigantic shopping area is alive with food, shopping and entertainment. While you can technically walk to it from the hotel, we don’t recommend it, as the area is very spread out! Click here to visit their website.

Actually within walking distance is a small live / work community with local shops and boutiques… and a Starbucks! Check out the directory of shops right outside our door step.

THE BEACHES

There are four major beaches in Jacksonville - all with a slightly different vibe. Jacksonville Beach is the closest beach (15 min with the most variety of things to do - as its most catered to tourists. While it does get crowded on the weekends, there are some quieter areas if a relaxed scene is what you are after. Click here for a guide to the Jacksonville Beach scene.

DOWNTOWN JACKSONVILLE

Much of Downtown (11 mi from hotel) was impacted by the “Flood and Fury” of Hurricane Irma - so it’s currently undergoing a massive restoration.

But there is still plenty to do while the makeover is in progress - not to mention the best water views in the state. More to come.

San Marco is a historic neighborhood just a few minutes from Downtown and 15 minutes from the hotel. Visit San Marco's distinctive boutiques and art galleries and enjoy the full-fledged dining district which has plenty of outdoor cafe seating and diverse options.
